Dana Pharant: A Dominatrix Teaches Us How to Surrender to Success

About Dana Pharant: The path to achieving anything you desire begins with surrender. Dana Pharant is a Dominatrix, High Priestess, and 7-figure CEO helping successful business owners scale without the grind. Using coaching, energy therapy, whips, or even psychedelics to connect to the power of surrender her clients achieve remarkable results.

In this episode, Jennie and Dana discuss:

  • Dana’s journey to becoming a dominatrix
  • How to gain people/client’s trust
  • Taking responsibility for your actions
  • How being submissive can lead to direct sales success

Key Takeaways:

  • Everything starts with surrender. Learning to accept the fact that you have no control over anything but yourself makes everything work better. Letting go leads to freedom.
  • The more you demonstrate your success, the more likely you are to gain people’s trust. The surrender and trust become even more profound when you’re able to develop a long-term relationship with your clients by showing them what has worked for you.
  • Do not put the blame on everything when you fail. You must surrender to the process, take ownership of the actions you choose to take, and change patterns that are no longer serving you and stopping you from reaching your goals.
  • Being submissive means being coachable. The key to getting ahead in your business is being open to learning from others and opening yourself to other options.

“Get out of what you think everybody else wants for you, or what you think you should want. What do you like? What does your heart want?” – Dana Pharant

Mark Victor Hansen: ASK to GET

About Mark Victor Hansen: Along with business partner Jack Canfield, Hansen is best known for creating what Time magazine called “the publishing phenomenon of the decade”. Chicken Soup for the Soul books is one of the most successful publishing franchises in the world today, with more than 500 million books sold internationally and more than 100 licensed products. The name “Chicken Soup” was chosen because of the use of chicken soup as a home remedy for the sick. The first Chicken Soup book, published by Health Communications, Inc., sold more than 2 million copies. There are now over 500 million copies in print and in 54 languages worldwide.

In 2004 Hansen was inducted into the Sales & Marketing Executive International’s Hall of Fame, receiving the Ambassador of Free Enterprise award. He also received the 2004 Visionary Philanthropist for Youth Award by Covenant House of CA.

In 2002 The University of Toledo presented Hansen with an Honorary Ph.D. in Business Administration and established the Mark Victor Hansen Entrepreneurial Excellence Fund that will help shape the minds of future business leaders and assist in the development of the faculty who will teach them.

In 2000 The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans honored Hansen with the

prestigious Horatio Alger Award as an American leader who personifies the virtues and principles inherent in the success stories written by nineteenth-century American author Horatio Alger Jr.

In 2000 Northwood University honored Hansen as the Outstanding Business Leader of the Year. Seeing the desire on everyone’s bucket list to write a book and their profound destiny to help, Crystal and Mark created a publishing company called: markvictorhansenlibrary.com

Mark and his wife, Crystal Dwyer Hansen, have recently co-written their newest book called, ASK! The Bridge from Your Dreams to Your Destiny.

In this episode, Jennie and Mark Victor discuss:

  • The story behind their written book about asking
  • Increasing your network of contacts
  • The effective way of asking
  • Supporting a cause through your business

Key Takeaways:

  • There is no harm in asking. Learning and practicing the art of asking can help you turn your dreams into reality.
  • To keep your network of contacts growing, you must first figure out what you want and who you’re going to talk to, then visualize the story of showing your intention as well as your expectation of a positive response from them.
  • You have to ask yourself, ask others, and ask God. Asking yourself positive questions will yield positive results.
  • Support charities or social causes that are close to your heart. Giving back not only helps you grow your business, but it also touches the lives of others, inspiring them to do the same and make a difference.

Matt Drinkhahn: Be an Eternal Optimist

About Matt Drinkhahn: Matt is a proud father of three young ladies and a happy husband to his queen Julie. He has made $130MM+ in career sales and 2500+ employees/direct reports/independent contractors. Matt coaches high-performers and their teams on the mindset and business systems that level up their games. He is the host of The Eternal Optimist Podcast which launched on May 13, 2022.

In this episode, Jennie and Matt discuss:

  • Evaluating your own personal level of achievement
  • Being an eternal optimist
  • “You can pour more into the glass. It’s refillable.”

Key Takeaways:

  • Do not compare your success to other people’s success. Instead, evaluate your own personal level of achievement by asking yourself on a regular basis – Are you heading towards what your life goals are?
  • We need eternal optimists in the world now more than ever – people who see things positively, and are constantly trying to figure out how to turn some of life’s challenges into opportunities or something they can use to better themselves and the world.
  • We, as people, are refillable; we fill through constant learning. But keep in mind that there’s no point in learning if you won’t implement it or put it into practice.
  • Plan your strategy, then execute it. A person’s success depends on his or her ability to take action.

“I always want to be constantly learning as to how today’s challenges can be tomorrow’s opportunities.” – Matt Drinkhahn

Dawn Cermak: Treating Your Business Like a Business

About Dawn Cermak: Dawn is an entrepreneur for 32 years, and is currently on businesses #9, #10 & #11. Her first company was a Special Event Design and Production company, which she grew, sold, and then bought back.

Dawn has been involved in a leading health and wellness network marketing company for 14 years and is a multiple 7-figure earner.

Dawn’s current focus is Hey Taxi, a “passion project” and business she launched during the pandemic in 2020, where she supports female entrepreneurs who are growing their businesses online with actionable tools and training to scale their businesses faster, make more money, and keep more of what they work so hard to earn by being proactive in their business tax strategy

Dawn has 4 children, ages 15-32, and lives in Clarksville, MD, when she is not out and about in the world! She has lived in Barcelona and London, is an avid world traveler – and can’t wait to continue exploring other places and cultures

In this episode, Jennie and Dawn discuss:

  • The first thing Dawn needed before launching her business
  • The myths about owning a business
  • The importance of dressing professionally
  • Tracking your mileage

Key Takeaways:

  • Having someone you trust to tell you that your products work is an important part of starting a business. Then, increase your understanding of your product or service. Customers are more likely to trust you if you are honest and eager to share the benefits of your products with them.
  • Your business is actually a business and not just a hobby, and whether or not you’re incorporated, you can still deduct these business expenses. Finally, just because you only made a small profit from your business does not mean it is not worthwhile. There are some things to consider, but you are still potentially a business.
  • Your image is essential in direct sales. Looking professional can help you gain respect, boost your confidence, and gain the trust of potential customers.
  • Keep track of your mileage. You can write them down, or you can use mileage tracker apps to ensure you’re tracking your miles correctly—this can help you get the biggest tax break and put more money back into your business.

“That possibility (working anywhere in the world) is what you’re creating for yourself and your family if you so choose it. But you have to be committed and you have to do the do because it doesn’t happen overnight” – Dawn Cermak

Renee Carbone Fleming: Building a $10 Million Team

About Renee Carbone Fleming: Renee grew a multi-million dollar sales organization with Touchstone Crystaland, and has coached hundreds of women to build a business that fits into their lives. She is passionate about sharing the sparkle with others through her online boutique, fun girls’ nights, VIP shopping opportunities, as well as with fundraising and sponsoring events. She has two children who are grown and on their own, and lives with her boyfriend Tony.

In this episode, Jennie and Renee discuss:

  • Establishing trust
  • The key to building a strong business
  • The truth about direct selling
  • The importance of follow up
  • The grit factor

Key Takeaways:

  • The only way to establish trust and for people to connect with you even if they don’t know you personally is by just showing your authentic self. You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be you.
  • You can’t possibly build a strong business if you try to please everyone. Allow your team to make mistakes; it’s all part of the journey. What matters is that they are coachable and true to their core, whatever that may be.
  • Even if you’re in direct selling, consider yourself a network marketer. Find ways to meet new people, establish your brand, and you’ll be able to add to and expand your network.
  • Expect that not everyone who is drawn to your products will become potential customers. Always make time to follow up so you can learn their preferences and show them you care. This is how you’ll secure a sale and encourage them to buy from you again.
  • Success comes with perseverance, focus, overcoming adversity, and celebrating wins along the way.

Brigette Barr: There Is Room For Everyone At The Top

About Brigette Barr: Brigette has been in the direct sales industry for over five years now. She is a badass goddess among women who have yet to learn their true purpose. She loves to lead people to the finish line and is supportive beyond measure. Giving is her love language, sometimes to a fault, but she’s not going to change who she is for anyone. Being authentically herself means that she can show up for anyone who is ready to learn, drive and become the Goddess that they were meant to be.

In this episode, Jennie and Brigette discuss:

  • Aligning your business to your core values
  • The importance of having a strong and encouraging leader for your brand
  • Conquering self doubt as an entrepreneur
  • Having the give back component to your business

Key Takeaways:

  • Create a business that is based not only on what works best for you, but also on your core values. Your business is more likely to thrive and you will feel more fulfilled if it is aligned with your personal values or something you are passionate about.
  • Nothing beats being led by a strong leader who genuinely cares about you and values the spirit of camaraderie. Celebrate the successes of others. There is room at the top for everyone.
