Jazzy’s Picks: Turn Your Differences Into Superpowers with Scot Conway

Episode Description

For October, Jazzy is stepping out from behind the scenes and taking over the Badass Direct Sales Mastery feed while Jennie takes some well-deserved time away to GET MARRIED!

This month, Jazzy is sharing four episodes that have personally influenced the way she thinks, works, and lives.

Her next pick is Scot Conway.

As someone who also has ADHD and dyslexia, Jazzy immediately connected with Scot’s perspective. Instead of treating those differences simply as disabilities, Scot’s approach helped her think about how understanding your unique brain and personality can allow you to build a life that actually works with you instead of against you.

But one of the biggest lessons Jazzy took away from this conversation had nothing to do with productivity.

It was about becoming an Oasis.

The Top Three Things Jazzy Learned From Scot Conway

1. Your differences can become your superpowers.
ADHD, dyslexia, and other differences don’t have to be viewed solely through the lens of what makes life harder. Understanding yourself can help you recognize and leverage the strengths that come with them.

2. Systematize your life around who you actually are.
Instead of constantly fighting your personality, create systems that help you work with it.

3. Solve problems instead of living in conflict.
Understanding yourself—and the people around you—can help you decide what belongs in your life and approach differences without turning everything into a battle.

How Jazzy Implemented the Lessons in This Episode

Jazzy started with the “O” in OHANA: Oasis.

She intentionally began focusing on becoming someone other people could feel safe around—a person they could talk to, trust, and simply be themselves with.

Instead of trying to tackle every part of OHANA at once, she concentrated on being an Oasis.

And something interesting happened.

As she worked on that one principle, Jazzy found that the other pieces of OHANA began falling into place naturally.
